Title: Ginny Weasley: Dragon Slayer Rating: PG-13 for dragon slaying Warnings: meta, first person, some dragons were harmed Disclaimer: HP belongs to Rowling, dragons belong to everybody, and the song used toward the end isn’t mine. It’s from Merrie England, by Basil Hood and Edward German. I have no idea how appropriate it is to use it as a quote, but hey, the copyright is up, and I’d’ve treated it like an epigraph, if this was longer. Characters: Ginny Weasley, a little Draco Malfoy, background Harry Potter (Harry and Ginny are married) Summary: Ginny Weasley slays the fuck out of some dragons.

Title: Fredrick Author: icicle33 Pairings/characters: (Gen) Neville, Augusta, Ron, Fred and George Rating: PG Warnings: minor bullying, some fluff, a hint of angst, and a cactus named Fredrick Word count: ~1600 (complete) Summary: Augusta Longbottom wants her grandson to go play with the other children rather than sit home all day with his plants. Neville only agrees to go to the park if he can bring his cactus. A/N: For ashiiblack who gave me the prompt of Neville talking to his plants. I've never written Neville before and thought it would be fun. In this story, Neville is about to turn 8. Also, please pretend that the Weasleys and Longbottoms live in the same neighbourhood. Enjoy.

Title: Like Incendio Author: coffee_n_cocoa Characters: Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, background Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, one-sided Neville/Ginny Rating: PG-13 Disclaimer: This is a work of fanfiction set in the Harry Potter universe – all recognisable characters and settings are the property of J. K. Rowling and her associates. No copyright infringement is intended. No profit is made from this work. Please observe your local laws with regards to the age-limit and content of this work. Warning(s): Drunk!Harry Word Count: 1339 Summary: Some things probably shouldn't be spoken aloud. Author's Notes: Written for dysfuncentine 2012, using Prompt 102: On their 18th birthday, Harry tells Neville about the prophecy. I tried not to make Harry such a drunken douchebag, but considering the nature of the fest maybe I should have allowed him his misbehaviour earlier. Thanks to hubby for the onceover.

Title: The Trick Step Fandom: Harry Potter Rating: PG Word Count: 17,000 Characters: Luna Lovegood, Pansy Parkinson, Draco Malfoy, and implied combinations thereof (though any hinted romance is not the focus of the story!) Summary: The notes kept coming, and Luna kept finding them. Luna encounters a mystery that needs solving – one that takes her beyond anything she ever imagined. Author’s Notes: Written for journeystory. This is supposed to be set vaguely during the fourth book, just before the Triwizard stuff. When it comes to any underlying romantic feelings, there's kind of an unplanned emphasis on Pansy/Luna, possibly unrequited, because Pansy really, really wanted to like Luna, and I couldn't stop her. The connection between hope and feathers belongs to Emily Dickinson. I recently read Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, and ever since, I've been really intrigued by how the transition between childhood and adulthood, and coming into oneself, is shown in stories. So I think Pansy is somewhat reflecting that here, especially in her attraction to Luna.

It's work experience week. Each 6th year Hogwarts student will spend a week with a randomly chosen ministry worker who is a parent of another student in the 6th year. ( Harry stared in despair at the owl perched on his desk. )

TItle: She Put His Vorpal Sword In Hand Author: june Fandom: Harry Potter Characters: Luna&Harry Word Count: ~1200 Rated: pg
Notes: Written for the girlsavesboyfic fest! Obviously borrowing from Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky" and one other fairy tale. I like fairy tales. This story takes place while Luna and Harry are at Shell Cottage after escaping from Malfoy Manor.
edit: oh and. I listened to Bon Iver's "Holocene" lots while writing. It sets the mood quite nicely, I think.
